Ending your tenancy

How you end your tenancy will depend on the type of tenancy you have with us.

If you wish to end your tenancy with us, you need to give notice in writing. Please use one of the methods below to submit your notice and the Lettings Team with be in touch to guide you through the next steps. Please check your tenancy agreement to find out how much notice you need to give.

How do I terminate my tenancy?

Ending your tenancy via your Origin Online Account

You can end your Social Rent Tenancy or Market Rent and Intermediate Market Rent Tenancy by calling us on 0300 323 0325.

When you know you are moving out,  you should make the following arrangements:

• When you move out from your home, you will need to leave your home clean, in good condition and free from personal belongings. If your home is not left in this way,  you may have to pay the cost of the work needed to improve the property. 
• Clear any arrears on your account before the end of the notice period. 

• Cancel your direct debit once your final payment has been taken.
