Our popular Harrow One development in partnership with Hill Group UK has been shortlisted for ‘Best Partnership - over 100 homes’ in the 2022 Inside Housing Development Awards.

Origin Housing and housebuilder Hill formed a joint venture partnership to deliver two large regeneration schemes totalling 325 homes in the London Borough of Harrow. Harrow One is the second project of 204 homes, a collection of 31 affordable rent properties, 54 studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom Shared Ownership apartments and 119 homes private sale apartments, available through Help-to-Buy, in central Harrow.

Harrow One has wholly transformed a formerly disused and derelict area, which previously housed an abandoned hotel, that attracted antisocial behaviour. The development includes redeveloping a dilapidated community hall and extending the partnership approach to incorporate the neighbouring church as part of the project. Partnership with the Borough and GLA allowed the £70 million project to be part funded by the GLA, as a strategically important regeneration site within the Heart of Harrow regeneration zone.

Alongside high-quality first-time buyer homes, the project creates a public plaza complete with a retail unit next to Harrow’s main shopping area. Giving back to the community, the scheme also includes the much-expanded Victoria Hall community hall, a central hub designed to provide a welcome space where members of the church community and other local residents can gather, learn and celebrate together.
