We Are Ageing Better is a project we deliver in St Pancras and Somers Town which brings people together to share skills and experiences to create change in our community, which is open to all people over 60.

Monday 6 August 2pm-4pm, Hidden London Walk - Smithfield Market

Meet at 2pm at Farringdon Station. Suggested donation of £3 for members

A walk full of surprises around Smithfield. Led by Somers Town History Club regular and Hidden London Walks guide, Steve McCarthy. Not just a walk and a talk, we will also reenact the Butterworth Dole and reopen the Cloth Fair, stopping for tea when the need arises. Please book with Jess.


Tuesday 7 August 10am-11.30am, Talk and walk - St Pancras at 150 years

The Living Centre, 2 Ossulston Street, NW1 1DF

This year St Pancras Station is 150 years old. Our Tuesday Coffee Morning offers a short talk by Lester Hillman followed by an easy walk to the statue of John Betjeman in the station. Discover the dramas, the history and the transformation in the last decade, including the Eurostar, 2012 Olympics and the reopened hotel.


Tuesday 7 and 14 August 2pm-4pm Gardening and Seed Saving Workshop

Skip Garden, 1 Tapper Walk, N1C 4AQ

Join us at the Skip Garden for some gardening and exploring the importance and magic of seeds. We will be getting our hands dirty doing practical gardening tasks in the urban oasis of the Skip Garden and sharing stories and experience of seeds and growing. Please book with Jess.
