After an extensive search and robust selection process from a field of high calibre candidates, the Board of Housing Association Origin Housing is pleased to announce the appointment of Neil McCall as the new Chair. Neil succeeds Steve White who said ‘After three enjoyable and productive years leading Origin, I am delighted to be able to hand over the reins to Neil, a well-qualified and experienced successor who I am confident will take Origin from strength to strength’

Neil is the Chief Executive Officer of Clarion group's housing association, Clarion Housing Association, which is the largest housing association in the country.  He has worked for the Clarion group and it’s predecessor organisations for 23 years and currently has overall responsibility for the delivery of landlord services; asset management/investment; customer services; housing management and resident involvement across 125,000 properties.

Previously Neil has been a non-executive director of Richmond Housing Partnership and MENCAP’s housing subsidiary, Golden Lane Housing, which he also chaired.  Neil is also currently a non-executive director of Reside Housing Association.

Neil is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing and holds the Institute of Directors Certificate in Corporate Governance.

“I’m really pleased at the prospect of building on the great work that has already happened at Origin. I was attracted to Origin as an ambitious organisation that wants to help provide much needed affordable housing in North London and the Home Counties.

As well as providing housing Origin is looking to further develop its care and support offering by delivering services that are needed in the community. Their successful partnership approach is something that I would like to build on to make Origin the place to go for people looking a for a home.”
