Collaboration in action at our retirement scheme, Pennethorne House

Colleagues from across Origin, alongside contractor Quinn London held an engagement meet and greet event with our retirement residents at Pennethorne House in April.

Quinn have recently been appointed to complete a window replacement project at Pennethorne House and took along lots of sample windows for our residents to see and explain how the project to upgrade their current windows will work. Marian Wilson, Resident Liaison Coordinator tells us “The afternoon was filled with questions, laughter, and excitement, as everyone learned that their long-standing wish for window replacements was finally coming true.”

The project is scheduled to go start between June and July 2024 and will take approximately four months to complete. Our residents really appreciated the collaborative approach we’d taken alongside Quinn, to ensure the project is completed as efficiently as possible and provides them with the benefits of new, more thermally efficient windows throughout the scheme.

This is a great example of how cross departmental working and resident consultation helps to ensure a positive outcome. We're confident our engagement with residents, along with listening to feedback from the earliest stages of the project will help us deliver the best service and homes possible.
