Together with Tenants
We're excited to be early adopters of Together with Tenants, a National Housing Federation campaign to strengthen the relationship between housing associations and their tenants and residents. Together with Tenants has developed a four point plan to help achieve this goal:
- A requirement for boards to be accountable to their tenants and residents.
- A charter setting out what tenants and residents can expect from their housing association.
- Tenant and resident oversight of the charter to check how their landlord is doing against charter commitments.
- A closer link to govenment regulation.
How you can get involved
If you are a resident there is an anonymous, short online survey about the draft tenants’ charter you can fill out until Friday 19 April. If you want to be more involved you can apply to be part of the new Tenant's Advisory Panel. The panel will advise, support and challenge the National Housing Federation as they develop and test plans to improve the relations between tenants, residents and their landlords. You can apply until 4 April.
