How to get involved:

Service planning with service user involvement is possible in a number of ways, and we have developed a menu of involvement opportunities. We currently have the following things in place:

  • Service-user directed support planning and risk assessment
  • Service-user directed decision making about how often you get support, how long your session take and venue for support sessions
  • Monthly house meetings
  • 3-monthly service user panels where we consult on policies & procedures in your services
  • Involvement in your home Health & Safety and improvement checks (in sheltered and supported housing)
  • Involvement in staff interviews and setting interview questions
  • Annual service user survey
  • Regular visits by Senior Managers
  • Exit interviews with everyone leaving the service
  • Service users involvement in reviews of handbook, web site and leaflets.
  • Service user involvement in ‘mystery shopping’ to improve customer service
  • Service user involvement in tender writing
