Money advice service – Check your financial fitness in 2012

At the start of the year we often resolve to get fitter and shed some pounds, but what about the pounds in our pockets? Our free impartial advice and tools will help you get your money into shape for 2012.

Whatever the situation with your finances, it’s good to know where you stand and that you are making the most of what you have. The health check, a new online money planner from the Money Advice Service, is for everyone.  

The service will provide impartial, sales free, jargon free, information and guidance about managing money. There are no costs or fees for this and our tenants can rest assured that they will not be expected to purchase or sign up for any service or product.

The Money Guides will be able to carry out individual financial healthchecks or can answer questions on a wide range of issues including such questions as:

·          How can I get the best rates on borrowing money?

·          How can I manage to pay my rent and other bills?

·          Can I get help to manage on a tight budget or to claim all the benefits I’m entitled to?

·          How do I get a better deal on my gas and electricity bills?

·          Can I have information about insurance and getting the best deal?

·          What are the best options for saving for me and my family?
