Regent's Place is open for business

31/03/2010

Origin Housing’s new development in the heart of central London is now open for business. Designed by internationally renowned architect Sir Terry Farrell and developed by British Land for Origin Housing, Regents place is providing sixty five social housing tenants and ‘intermediate’ renters with reduced-rent homes in heart of the capital.  The development offers one to three bedroom apartments, five of which are built with those who are less able in mind – with a wheel chair friendly design, wet room, internal lifts and adjustable kitchen surfaces.

Chairman of Santander UK and Channel Four, Lord Burns, recently toured the ‘Eco Homes Excellent’ development commenting that: “Demand for good quality, affordable housing in the UK has never been stronger and significantly outstrips supply. Santander’s relationship with Origin and our significant commitment to the social housing sector allows us to support government-led housing policy in the UK as well as providing much needed homes within the communities that we serve."
