Buying more of your home
If you are a shared owner and want to buy more of your home, you need to contact Origin to be sent or emailed a Stair casing Valuation form.If you would like to sell your existing shared ownership home please cal l: 020 7209 9292 and we will let you know if can find a buyer for your home.

Reporting a repair
For emergencies, the repairs line is open 24 hours a day.
If you live in Retirement Housing you can report repairs direct to your scheme manager. We will need to know as much as possible about the repair.
You can also email us on firstname.lastname@example.org if the repair is not urgent.
Repairs, insurance and service charges
If your home is a house, you will be responsible for all repairs and redecoration both internally and externally. We will insure the structure of your home and in some cases we may make a charge for the upkeep of the estate.
You will have to pay a management charge to cover our costs in providing this service and collecting monies due. If your home is a flat, you will be responsible for all repairs and redecoration internally.
It is Origin’s obligation to keep the building in which your flat is situated in good structural repair, to keep the structure insured and to keep any common parts, such as the staircase and corridors, decorated, cleaned and lighted.
You will have to pay a share of those costs, in the form of a service charge. We will explain how the service charge is spent and you will be consulted before any major repair or maintenance work starts.
Please report any damage or defect to the building or communal areas to us immediately.

Antisocial behaviour (ASB)
Origin Housing's aim is to provide a high quality of life for all our residents. That’s why Origin Housing tackle antisocial behaviour promptly and fairly.
If your behaviour interferes with other residents’ rights to a quiet enjoyment of their home or the harmony of the community, Origin will take action. While Origin prefer to avoid legal action, if anti-social behaviour continues and is proven by considerable evidence then we will take legal action.
Other remedies to prevent and repair the damage caused by anti-social behaviour include:
- Promoting the association's policy;
- Publicising the availability of play/youth facilities ;
- Tenant induction sessions ;
- Mediation ;
- Floating support;
- Origin Housing Gold Reward Scheme ;
- Request to local police for extra patrols;
- Tenant association/estate events to facilitate contact between different community groups;
- Liaison with other services such as council social services and health departments;
- Minor repairs - erecting fences/repairing locks;
- Security initiatives;
- Develop and support local youth initiatives such as summer play schemes;
- Professional witnesses.
