Our recent completed developments

We’re continuing to build new homes and also recently purchased four properties. Here we detail the recent schemes that have just completed.

Lowry Court, Harrow, London

Lowry Court is a new build block of affordable homes built on the site of the old Colart pencil factory and is part of a larger development of 189 homes being built by Barratt Homes.

We acquired seven 1 and 2 bedroom apartments for shared ownership and twelve 1 and 2 bedroom apartments for affordable rent.  The apartments are airy and spacious and have individual balconies and share landscaped communal gardens. Seven of the apartments are being provided with a parking space within the development.

Lowry Court is a short walk from Wealdstone High Street and ½ a mile from Harrow & Wealdstone station. All homes in the development feature energy-efficient electric heating, photovoltaic panels that harness free electricity generated by solar power and water saving measures.

Walkdens, Ashwell, Baldock, Hertfordshire

The scheme is an extension of our existing properties in the Walkdens’ cul-de-sac in Ashwell and provides 15 new affordable houses and flats for local residents and key workers.

The site, just a five minute walk from the village shops, pubs and school, was purchased from a local farmer who was concerned about the lack of affordable housing in the area.

All nominations and purchasers are local residents. The rented homes were all let immediately following completion with the sales units following close behind.

It consists of eleven 2 and 3 bed semi-detached houses (nine are rent and two are shared-ownership) and four 1 bedroom apartments (two rent and two shared-ownership). The houses have landscaped front and rear gardens and the apartments share a garden. All homes have off street parking, a shed and rotary drier, gas central heating, wood effect laminate flooring, carpets and blinds. There are communal landscaped and planted areas with seating and a small equipped play area.

The design of the scheme deliberately complements the existing properties and deep excavations reduced the height and impact on the landscape – a particular concern of local residents and planners.

The Ivery, 161 Iverson Rd, West Hampstead

We recently purchased four ‘off-the-shelf’ units in the centre of West Hampstead, as part of a section 106 agreement.

As one of Camden Council’s Registered Housing Landlord approved partners, we were approached and worked closely with the council to acquire these properties.

Three of the units are for social rent and one is shared-ownership. All properties have been completed to a high specification and have been kitted out with white goods and have private terraces as well as access to communal gardens.

Two of the properties for social rent (one 1 bed, the other 2 bed) have been fully adapted as wheelchair accessible flats for disabled tenants.

The shared ownership property is a 1 bedroom apartment with two bathrooms, its own patio overlooking a shared roof garden.

The development is close to both over ground stations and underground station in West Hampstead.
